OUR STORY
Humble Beginnings
Louis Hernandez Jr.’s is the founder and chairman of the For A Bright Future Foundation (FABF).
He learned the value of hard work and community at an early age. Growing up in the lower-income areas of inner-city Los Angeles, he was surrounded by families of various ethnic backgrounds and helped his mother organize food stamps for the family and distribute outgrown clothes to those in need.
Education For A Bright Future
Louis’ parents quickly identified education as their path out of poverty for their family. They
firmly set the anchors of education, family, hard work, and community within the family.
The early emphasis on education inspired Louis’ lifelong interest in learning and technology and later into a successful entrepreneurial and investment career.
Giving Back to the Community
Louis had seen the inequality around him and wanted to do something to help. In 2011, he established a non-profit organization to give underserved children a chance for a brighter future.
If his family hadn't been given access to healthcare, food, shelter, and education, Louis wouldn't have been able to escape the gang-infested neighborhood he was raised in. This was the start of an incredible journey to aid those in need.
